We are getting ready to head out in a few minutes to go to the Smoky Mountains for a weeklong family vacation. Rebekah is out of preschool for fall break, and we are going to spend some time in Townsend, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg for a few days, then we'll head to my college homecoming and 10-year reunion over the weekend. We will not have internet access while we are gone, so get ready for a major update and picture overload when we return!

Hope you all have a great time. I may be up at CNC Saturday for the music & parade.
Here is the reply to your question on my blog (Didn't know when you would look at it again):
The three letters and 2 photographs were found in his possesion after he died. Many scholars have tried to find out who Beethoven's Immortal Beloved was, but they never found out. There were 5 women who were significant in his life, one being Antonia Brentano. He was having an affair with her while staying in Prague and Karlsbad. I thought the letter was so heartfelt and loving. When was "Fur Elise" written? They met in 1810 & he wrote a song, "An die Geliebte" (To the Beloved) in December 1811 for Antonia. Interesting, isn't it?
